Catching up

In list form, since everyone loves lists:

  1. I got sick of that layout I threw together, so I reverted back to K2’s generic blue look. When I have more time, I’ll try to make an actual thing… but odds are, I’ll just slack off some more and put it off until the end of time.
  2. I still need to caption all of these pictures.
  3. I have a backlog of site stuff that I should at some point upload, but I’m faced with two dilemmas: the necessity of even having such sites anymore, and the embarrassment of uploading them with their current layouts and general state of incompleteness. I do not pretend to know what current web standards are, nor do I really have the energy to catch up with them, nor, really, do I care about such things anymore.
  4. I have at least five story ideas that I need to flesh out for Treefire purposes. Since that stuff isn’t public, maybe I shouldn’t talk about it here.
  5. I have six more sociology and two more linguistic exams, all due by this Wednesday. Meep.
  6. I’m thinking about getting a summer job to tide me over until fall, when (if?) I move to Japan.
  7. (Man, the more I talk about moving to Japan like it’s a real thing, the more I feel like I’m jinxing it. Kind of like with the LA thing… it didn’t really hit me what I was doing until I was on the plane ride back home.)
  8. I have done extremely little work on any of my personal side projects. I’m not disappointed though.
  9. I think if this weather keeps up, I’m going to have to become nocturnal. It’s just way too hot during the day.
  10. Man, I’m really freaking terrified of moving to Japan. What have I gotten myself into? This is what the apartments look like. It looks like it’s half the size of the apartment I had in Moiliili, and I thought THAT place was unbearably tiny.
  11. The Laughing Sutra is a really terrible book. It’s got all the tackiness that I’ve grown to hate in modern fiction. Yet for some reason, I keep rereading it. It’s always stuck in the crack between my mattress and the wall because I read it in bed until I pass out. I love Journey to the West, so maybe it’s a transference of affection? Balls if I know.

I was going to stretch the list to 13 points because I love tempting fate like that, but now I’m just getting tired and bored.
