Haircut

I’ve been in desperate need of a haircut for a long time now. Observe how nasty I look in this spontaneous picture (that my father unfairly took of me when I wasn’t looking and when I was bellowing in outrage over something that was happening in World of Warcraft):

So nasty.

So nasty, am I right?

Today I went with my mother to Fantastic Sam’s. This is the first haircut I’ve had in in five years that wasn’t done in a for-real salon. I’m currently unemployed so I can’t shell out the big bucks to get my hair done all purdy, and my mother is Oriental so… yeah, she’s not going to pay more than $15 for a haircut. In fact, I’m amazed she even offered to take me to a barbershop to begin with. When I was growing up, she’d give me hideous bowl cuts. Then she’d wonder why I didn’t have a boyfriend.

The haircut I wanted looks like this:

The haircut that should have been.

Instead, I got this:

Blah.

Blah.

I guess it’s not BAD. It’s just not really what I wanted, either. Oh well. Maybe if I wax it out…? I don’t know.

I think if you just blow dry your hair a little bit to try to give it a life, it might look more like the photo. Understand, that color treated hair is “thinner” as when you color it you take some of the hair with you. As opposed to your natural hair. So that girl in the photo’s hair is color treated and thus easier to get it to do the “poofier” look. But I’m sure with some practice with a blow dryer, you could easily do. No problems. It’s cute.

I do so love the look on your face in the first photo though. Honestly. Hilarious.
